Former European Commission Press Officer Adam Kaznowski Joins Fourtold, Adding EU Insight and Foreign Policy Depth to the Team

October 22nd, 2021

Integrated strategic communications and public affairs consultancy, Fourtold, has appointed Adam Kaznowski as Managing Consultant, strengthening its Public Affairs and CEO advisory services.

Adam joins from the European Commission (EC) and European External Action Service, where he was Press and Media Officer for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. He has an extensive working knowledge of the EU and its institutions and, beyond Brussels, a comprehensive understanding of the international policy landscape.

During the six years Adam spent at the EC, he specialised in the EU’s relations with its European neighbourhood, with Asia and the Pacific, and North America. He worked with consecutive European Commission Presidents and High Representatives for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy to communicate EU foreign policy priorities in periods of intense geo-political upheaval.

With offices in Brussels and Oxford, Fourtold is a fast-growing consultancy with clients including Vodafone, PepsiCo, and Johnson & Johnson. Announcing the news, Fourtold Co-Founder and Partner, Matthew Willis said: “Adam is a great addition to our team and gives added in-depth EU institutional and international policy insight to help our clients navigate the critical policy issues of the day.

His experience of advising high-profile politicians and CEOs on their external engagement, particularly chimes with growing stakeholder expectation that business leaders steer on critical issues like the environment and sustainability.”

Adam added: “I’m excited to join a dynamic and ambitious team at Fourtold. I look forward to bringing my experience and knowledge of the EU and the complex international policy agenda to grow Fourtold’s client roster and help existing clients to enhance their reputations and achieve their strategic objectives.”

Fourtold was set up in 2013 and provides its clients with smart, modern, integrated hands-on communications and public affairs consultancy – from strategy to delivery – in the UK, EU and internationally. It helps clients win trust in the science and technologies that can help tackle the global challenges of our time.

Adam’s arrival follows other appointments by Fourtold, which numbers 30 people in the UK, Belgium, Germany, and the US.

Last month, Fourtold announced the appointment of former Teneo vice chair Fiona Joyce as Non-Executive Advisor. Earlier in the year, Omar Mockbil joined as Managing Director of Fourtold’s Brussels office and Tatu Liimatainen as Director of EU Public Affairs within Fourtold’s EU advocacy comms business.

Other recent additions to the Brussels team include Julian Gray who joined as Associate Consultant, Adriana Martins as consultant, and Sarah Morgan and Eilish Murphy, who both joined as interns.

These latest appointments build on Fourtold’s fast-growing science, health and technology client base, and reputation for integrated advocacy and communications work with global organisations – including Vodafone, PepsiCo, Healthy Europe, CropLife Europe (formerly ECPA) and Brewers of Europe – and further expands Fourtold’s team in the UK, Belgium, Germany, and the US
