Position: Consultant

Broad Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day public affairs, communications and project management support across a range of clients, with a focus on the technology, media, and telecom (TMT) sector.

Start date: October 2023

We are seeking an ambitious public affairs and communications professional with 1-2 years of experience to join our expanding team in order to play a leading role on a variety of complex, international issues and reputation programmes across a range of industries.

 

What tasks you can look forward to:

  • Taking on a project support role and establishing yourself as a day-to-day contact on several projects, with a focus on the technology, media, and telecom (TMT) sector.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of strategies and/or campaigns to shape public policy and the surrounding media/social media debate.
  • Your everyday tasks will include monitoring of political and societal insights, drafting public affairs and communications materials, managing projects and supporting implementation, and supporting outreach with relevant EU stakeholders.
  • Actively participating in the generation of new business proposals and presentations.

 

You will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • That you are a self-starter with a can-do-attitude, as well as the ability to identify problems and provide solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, presentation and project management skills.
  • Understanding and experience of working with policymakers and other stakeholders in Brussels and/or in European national capitals.
  • Strong knowledge of the EU legislative processes and of key policies relevant to the technology, media, and telecom (TMT) sector.
  • Experience and familiarity in writing policy content (e.g. policy papers, position papers) as well as content for creative assets, media and social media. Experience with corporate communication will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent writing ability to include long and short form content creation across a variety of channels – including social media, websites, and traditional media (press releases, articles, opinion editorials etc.)
  • Excellent English drafting and presentation skills. Additional languages preferable.
