CAN COMMUNICATORS CHANGE THE WORLD?
WE THINK THEY CAN.
In a world where your dishwasher has its own email account and every teenager is a broadcast professional, you could be forgiven for thinking PR and marketing is the problem and not the solution.
And yet, there is a groundswell of companies that have discovered when they define their role in the world (not just in their market segment) they can make a real difference to their communities and to their bottom line.
We’ve all heard about CSR, but what does it mean to create a purpose-inspired brand? Could your brand become one? And why would you bother?
Fourtold and IncrediBull have united to create a roundtable to chat about purpose, reputation and how to deal with those Millennials.
Our guest speaker, Clare Salmon, has led some of the world’s biggest brands. Originally a strategist at BCG, Clare’s career has included relaunching ‘The Man from the Pru’ as the Prudential’s Marketing Director, driving the turnaround of the AA under Centrica’s ownership, and relaunching ITV’s brand portfolio as its Director of Marketing and Strategy. She created RSA’s Global Strategy and Marketing function, rationalising a portfolio of over 300 brands in more than 100 countries in order to drive top line growth of over 25%. More recently, Clare was Vodafone’s Global Brand Director and has just completed delivery of Royal London’s ambitious new masterbrand strategy. Clare is an experienced NED at FTSE 100 level. She has also used her skills in the voluntary sector as a Trustee of Breast Cancer Campaign and currently as an Ambassador for Scope.
